Remuera Village Medical Centre Minimize

RVMC has existed on this site since 1960. Previously it was located in the large black house on the corner of Lucerne Rd where Dr Rowlands provided traditional care in his family home.

A number of GPs have worked here over the years. In 1995 Dr Kent bought the practice and was soon joined by Dr Buckley in 1996. Dr Waterfall moved from Remuera in 1999. 2001 saw Drs Kempthorne and Breger move here from Remuera, coinciding with expansion into the neighbouring building and a facelift of the surgery.

In 2007 Dr Rosie took over from Dr Breger. The practice continues to grow but the emphasis has always been on Family Centred Medicine with continuity of care.

Our current refurbishment is really a continuation of the practice’s need to keep pace with the challenges of Community Medicine in terms of quality, accessibility and advances in technology.

The practice provides high quality, accessible medical care with extended hours of operation and, due to continuity of Staff here, patients can feel that their needs will be met even when their registered Doctor is not present.

We look forward to keeping our community and family flavour whilst providing additional services in a modern, comfortable and accredited surgery.
